There is nothing new under the sun - oh wait! There are some new things. CICS 5.4 has solved that age old problem of needing multiple instances of the MQ Trigger monitor running, against different initiation queues. MQ has added the CICS task ID to the MQ detailed task SMF records. We'll talk about some of the fine product improvements and how they can be used, along with some implementation patterns that may not be new, but are re-emerging as the need for higher availability and flexibility continue to grow.-Mitch Johnson-IBM Corporation; Lyn Elkins-IBM Corporation
