In this session, the speaker will cover some of the common causes plus some least know causes for storage violations in a CICS environment.  We will beging the session with a quick review of the CICS options, features and storage mamagement techniques which allow CICS to detect and somewhat handle storage violations.  We will then look at a few application programming techniques which can result in storage violations.  After which we will have a look at the system dumps resulting from a CICS detected storage violation and how to potentially resolve them.  All of this will will be fast paced to fit in the time allotted but the handout will have notes backing each topic cover as a take-away for later use at your site.
While we cannot cover all of the possibilities in a single session, we can provide a little bit of a methodology plus some diagnostic tips for you to use.  You should also gain some insight into some considerations for what a storage violation could mean to your site.-Thomas Dunlap-Themis, Inc
