When system resources are shared among transactions, user queries, web requests, distributed application requests from different clients, and batch programs, customers often need to control how those resources are used. To prevent certain unexpected, run-away SQL statements, the Db2's Resource Limit Facility can be used to set upper limits before they run as well as during their execution.
This presentation discusses how to limit CP and other system resource usage in the processing of dynamic and static SQL statements using the Db2's Resource Limit Facility.-Tammie Dang-IBM Corp
