In this session, the speaker will discuss the new workspace and mobile interface features in the Hardware Management Console (HMC) 2.14.0, available with the IBM z14. The new HMC Mobile App monitoring and recovery action controls will be described along with the security controls for Mobile. The Tree User Interface is the only interface supported in HMC 2.14.0, and new features to aid in that transition include Tabbed Workspace, Favorites, and Search. The Manage System Time user interface is completely revamped to include visual representation (topological display), validation of changes shown in that visualization, and inline definition of terms. Various other task enhancements/z14 support will also be described in this update.-Brian Valentine-IBM Corporation
