The Linux Health Checker is a tool to perform a preventive check-up of your Linux system. It is meant to detect improper configurations, potential system vulnerability and system states that may lead to problems during the future execution of your workloads. The core of the Linux Health Checker is an extensible framework to collect and analyze all types of health data and to produce different kinds of health reports. The health checker comes with a set of ready-made health checks that is intended to be further extended as an open source project. This presentation will describe the use of the Linux Health Checker and how to develop new health checks. Martin Schwidefsky IBM Corporation
