This session will be an introduction to VMSES/E and the tools that comprise the service process of z/VM. VMSES/E is used to install and to service VM and its components as well as some optional program products for the VM platform. No advanced knowledge of VMSES/E or VM service is assumed. Information presented will be useful to those attending the next session (9118) which will go into more depth of how to use VMSES/E to maintain your z/VM system and provide an opportunity for a hands-on experience in applying an RSU.
