In this two-part tutorial aimed at new users, two speakers from ISPF Development will describe the ISPF user interface and will provide an overview of many of the functions available with ISPF. In part 2 of 2, they introduce the ISPF editor and look at some of the ISPF utilities that can be used to manage and process MVS datasets. Topics include:
- A definition of data set types, naming conventions, and ISPF Libraries
- Creating and copying data sets (ISPF options 3.2 and 3.3)
- Editing data sets (ISPF option 2)
- The Data Set List Utility (ISPF option 3.4)
- Using the Tutorial to learn more
The information covered in the two-part boot camp will aid attendees in z/OS Hands-on Labs. An ISPF Hands-on Lab is also being run to provide experience with the features described in the boot camp.
