Ensuring high availability for your z/OS workloads is one of the key challenges you face. This requires resiliency at many levels, such as the hardware, operating system, and application levels. In this session, the speaker will describe the resiliency features in z/OS Communications Server and how you can exploit these features to ensure you have high availability network communication for your workloads. Some of the topics covered, along with best practices, include network interface redundancy, resilient Sysplex technologies such as Virtual IP Addresses and Sysplex Distributor, autonomic features to detect and react to abnormal network conditions, runtime checks to avoid potential problems, and solutions to provide resiliency beyond a Sysplex environment.-Michael Fitzpatrick-IBM Corporation
