Have you ever wondered how Linux applications running on x86 based servers can be mapped to the Z architecture shared by LinuxONE and IBM Z? These architectures (x86 and Z) are so different, is that at all possible?
In this session we will discuss the sizing methodology that converts the existing requirements to run applications on the x86 architecture to the Z architecture. We will also discuss the applications that make sense to be hosted on the Z architecture, Fit for Purpose basic concepts, the RACEv sizing and TCO methodology, and examples. This discussion will be followed by a live "what if" scenario demonstration, time permitting.-Eduardo C. Oliveira-IBM Corporation
