This presentation explores the intersection between WLM and Unix System Services work running on z/OS, including how to properly use your WLM Service Policy to classify and manage forked processes. Do you know how to find and track Unix processes and threads? Are all those values you set in the BPXPRMxx member of parmlib really doing what you wanted them to? Do you know where to look? This session will also survey the performance management and monitoring components of the WLM / USS environment, examining RMF reports and console displays to understand what is happening in the system with respect to your Unix System Services workloads.
