WebSphere MQ provides support for clustering of queue managers. A cluster is an easily administered, highly available, scalable collection of queue managers. WebSphere MQ applications can take advantage of clustering with the minimum of effort. This session focuses in greater depth on some of the key points to consider when designing and implementing a cluster of queue managers. It covers design considerations including cluster sizes, full repository topologies and also looks at topics such as cluster resource definitions and problem identification. The session will touch on some of the internals of clustering as well as the “what’s new” as it delves into the split cluster transmit queue. A basic understanding of the concepts of queue manager clusters is required. Neil Johnston IBM Corporation
