What happens when you connect z/OS and Linux together using a highly optimized network interconnect? IBM Z Systems provides Shared Memory Communications (SMC) across CPCs (over RoCE) and within a CPC (DMA over ISM). SMC has been available for z/OS and will soon be available for Linux. This session describes how you can optimize your combined z/OS and Linux solutions when you enable SMC between the two platforms.-Jerry Stevens-IBM Corporation; Martin Schwidefsky-IBM Corporation
