Nationwide Insurance has been partnering with IBM over the past two years to leverage a number of new technologies and tools in order to built a private cloud service for the hosting of J2EE applications. The solution has moved through a proof-of-technology, through a demonstration pilot, and is now in production.
The solution leverages a number of key new technologies: • zLinux server virtualization on z196 hosts
• WVE (WebSphere Virtual Enterprise)
• IWD (IBM Workload Deployer) appliances
• RAF (Rational Automation Framework)
• XC10 (IBM Datapower XC10 Appliance)
