The RACF Remote Sharing Facility (RRSF) allows for remote management and synchronization of RACF databases, using APPC as its transport mechanism. In z/OS V1R13, RACF starts supporting TCP/IP as an alternate transport mechanism. The Application Transparent Transport Layer Security (AT-TLS) feature of the z/OS Communication Server provides for authentication of RRSF servers to one another and the encryption of the network traffic between them.
In this session, our speaker will discuss how to use existing controls to secure the RRSF TCP/IP network. He will also describe the procedures by which you define new TCP/IP nodesand by which you convert existing APPC connections to TCP/IP without any interruption in service.
