Services governance begins with the support and focus of many concerned individuals within an organization. From this group the standards are rules that will form the governance framework issue. The queston is what do we do next ? IBM has built what is arguably the most comprehensive toolset offered in our industry to aid in the implementation of services governance. WebSphere Service Registry and Repository provides facilities to support all phases of service governance from conception to retirement. This session will connect the dots between elements of the governance plan and the facilities in this product that support them. How can you discover rogue services ? What facilites are provided to help soclialize services ? How can we control the life cycle of services in our organization ? Is there a safe and easy way to transition between versions of a service ? How can I satisfy the needs of everyone interested in services from programmers to business analysts ? These are examples of the questions that provided the functional reqiurements for IBM WebSphere Service Registry and Repository. These questions and more are answered in his presentation.
