SLIP is a powerful addition to any z/OS programmer's debugging "tool kit".
This presentation will take a quick tour through the many useful parameters of SLIP, including options that monitor software events such as abends and messages, as well as options that monitor PER (Program Event Recording) hardware events such as instruction fetch and storage alteration. PER performance considerations will also be discussed.
Some familiarity with SLIP is helpful but not required. Those attending this presentation will be well-positioned for the follow-on Part 2.-Patty Little-IBM Corporation
