Great developers, DBAs, sysadmins, and/or systems programmers are invaluable to an organization. Usually that "greatness" comes from a high degree of technical aptitude. But how much more value could you provide beyond knowing technology? Are you truly a leader, or just a really good technician? What attributes do good technical leaders possess? How can you further build those skills? What specific actions can you take to be a more effective and innovative contributor to your organization and your company as a true technical leader?
In this session we will investigate these questions, and discuss what it means to be a technical leader, whether it be as a developer, administrator, architect or even a manager of these roles.-Bill Seubert-IBM Corporation
