This may be the most boring session you will ever attend, unless you like the dark arts of SMF analysis (or need to catch up on sleep). There are small nuggets of information buried in these records that may save you from a 2:00 am outage, there are indications of troubled applications that can be uncovered. There is a wealth of data and this session will help you interpret this data and use it to your advantage
As well as taking you though the wonders of SMF this session will also run you through auditing your WebSphere MQ infrastructure and then let you discover how File Transfer Edition (FTE) and WebSphere Message Broker make use of MQ's provided services and learn about the additional auditing services provided for tasks specific to those products.
