The Shared File System (SFS) in z/VM is now the default installation option to hold the service data for z/VM 6.4. If you have very little experience with SFS in z/VM, come to this session to learn more! It is not very hard to work with SFS and it provides many benefits to you. Some of the topics that will be covered are: Basic SFS concepts and commands, How to manage SFS file spaces, How to add more space, How to work with the files in SFS, Backup and Restore of SFS, and other topics. The main emphasis of the topics is the service filepool created by installation, but anyone who would like to use SFS will learn something from this session.-Bruce Hayden-IBM Corporation
