All we hear about these days is 'the cloud', everything is in 'the cloud', or heading to 'the cloud'. Some would say that the mainframe has been 'the cloud' or in 'the cloud' for years. As we transition to the new cloud era we're still going to be relying on our existing architecture and networks, but exposing it to new uses and experiences. Infrastructure as a service (IaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS), Software as a service (SaaS); all will come into play and help connect the devices we use everyday, to new cloud services and existing infrastructures.
This session will start by setting out the scene and the different cloud options and what each one means to your existing infrastructure before looking in depth at the following:
* How z/OSMF workflows can be used to provision and de-provision MQ for z/OS Queue Managers and resources (like queues and channels), and how these workflows can be driven via REST APIs.
* MQTT
* MQXR telemetry listener
* MessageSight
* MQ Light (including AMQP channel beta in MQ 8.0.0.2)
* Bluemix-Mayur Raja-IBM UK Laboratories Limited; Chris Leonard-IBM UK Laboratories Limited
