One year after the general availability of the z13 it is time to look at the available Linux exploitation of all the new performance features built into the new box.  What of those features can be exploited from a Linux environment and what are the benefits?  What is still to come for Linux?  In addition to covering Linux exploitation of z13 performance features; this presentation will also present performance examples from real workloads collected during the past year; especially focusing on open source products.  Lastly; this session will take a closer look at SMP and SMT effects.-Eberhard Pasch-IBM Corporation
