Meet the track teams, and get a quick overview of our tracks’ happenings at
SHARE, after which John Shebey of IBM will present critical service news
(including the popular “APARs of Death”). We will devote most of the hour to our
special guest speakers, John Petreshock and Shelley Brand. They will explore the
evolution of simplification in IBM's z/OS operating system from version 2.4 to
3.1. Delving into the progressive enhancements and streamlining efforts
undertaken across these releases, the presentation offers insights into the
journey towards a more user-friendly and efficient computing environment on the
mainframe platform. Attendees will gain a comprehensive understanding of the
simplification initiatives implemented in z/OS, including advancements in the
z/OS management interfaces, automation, and user experience enhancements as z/OS
continues to address the skills challenges and complexities across the OS.
