The need for testing has existed since the very first computer program. There
are many testing practices, aspects and test types that can help validate
software quality - one can even say too many. No wonder that it leads to
confusion, especially when different teams, industries, and platforms are
adopting modern DevOps practices. For example, the term "unit testing" can have
different meanings between teams and even individuals. In this session we'll
explore what unit testing means for mainframe and put the other practices,
aspects and test types into historic perspective.
