Since 2016, IBM and Marist College have worked jointly to provide a zLinux testing platform to whomever wants to try it out. The LinuxONE Community Cloud started as a way to get people interested in trying Linux on the Z platform, but quickly became a tool for a variety of uses including education. The latest iteration of the cloud is based on ICIC (IBM Cloud infrastructure Center) on z/VM. This presentation will cover experiences with the cloud management technology and the challenges of running a large, public cloud.
