Managing data, including backup, is part of our normal day to day tasks. I want
to share our daily experience for faster application backups using dataset
FlashCopy, reducing number of volumes/ucb leveraging thin provisioning, and
moving data with HSM MOVE. Additionally I'll provide some quick, and not so
dirty, self-written REXX that we use for reporting and finally, some thoughts
about data protection against Hackers and Insider Threats.
