What's a PCHID? How is that different from a CHPID? A port? What's an IODF?
What's a cylinder? A track? A minidisk? What's a MIF ID? LSS? If you are new to
the platform, some of the IBM Z and LinuxONE hardware terminology can feel a bit
daunting at first. In this session we will discuss some of these basic terms.
While the commands and outputs are from z/VM, the concepts are cross platform.
This is not only a good place for beginners, but if it's a great way to refresh
those old memories if you've been out of the game for a while!
