Every organization with a mainframe run a significant amount of work every
night. If there is a problem at night there is a direct impact on their online
and data base environments because they are dependent on the batch workloads.
Since these workloads run day in and day out with few issues, it is easy to
overlook them when it comes to resiliency. However, when a problem does occur,
how can you be sure those documents on how to recover that were written a decade
ago are accurate? Have application modifications caused changes that were not
documented? How can you automatically know at any given moment that you can
recover, and if you have to recover how can you recover in minutes instead of
days? This session will discuss the possible pitfalls and how IBM z Batch
Resiliency provides a solution.
