As the Linux on System z environment continues to grow, the need for software and solutions to manage this environment also grows. This session will focus on the various approaches customers use to back up and restore data and disks for z/VM and Linux on System z, including the advantages and disadvantages of each method. It will include live demos of one method, including automation.
The presentation will also include considerations for a z/VM SSI cluster.

The demos will use IBM's management software for z/VM and Linux on System z, but the presentation will include requirements for implementing the scenarios with other software.-Tracy Dean-IBM Corporation
