In this session, the speaker will go into details on the changes to JCL processing (with examples) in the z/OS 2.1 release of JES2.  Topics include the changes to the JOB, OUTPUT, and JCLLIB cards, improved error message processing, performing converter/interpreter prior to execution, using scheduling environment to control conversion, 8 character job classes, new job class attributes, exit impacts, using system symbols in batch jobs, symbol substitution in instream data sets, exporting  JCL symbols, and symbol substitution in instream data sets-Tom Wasik-IBM Corporation
