If you are interested in learning about how to significantly improve your applications availability in an IBM z Systems Parallel Sysplex Platform; then this session is for you. In this sessions the speakers will introduce you to the z/OS component BCPii (The Base Control Program Internal Interface); how to set it up on the IBM z CPCs and the z/OS. Then the speakers will discuss how BCPii is exploited by the System Status Detection Protocol (SSD) of z/OS Parallel Sysplex to expeditiously remove a z/OS image from the sysplex so that a sick z/OS image doesn't impact the availability of your applications.-Mark A.
