CICS Performance Tutorial-- I/O Tuning

This session reviews the things that can be done to improve CICS performance through I/O tuning. The user is presented on how to tune both LSR pools and NSR Files. This presentation has been updated for VSAM threadsafe and CICS TS 4.2. Upon completion the user should be able to identify areas that require attention in their installation and what actions should be taken to improve the I/O performance. The attendee is encouraged to bring statistics about their file subsystem so that they can compare their installation's results with what is identified in the presentation.
