You may be familiar with the steps required to clone a z/VM system in the "old days" but a few things have changed with z/VM 6.2! The z/VM system identifer is now used in several places that also need to be updated, along with the usual volume labels, system configuration files, network configuration, and directory or security managers if those are in use. In this session, we will discuss the steps you need to perform to clone a system. The cloned system could be a new member of an SSI cluster, a second level test system, or a new production system.
