System z encompasses multiple operating system environments. This session presents tools with cross-platform equivalency. Some of the included tools are: ISPF SRCHFOR/m and UNIX/Linux grep/find, ISPF Compare and UNIX/Linux diff/sdiff/cmp, ISPF sort (edit and external) and UNIX/Linux sort, IEBCOPY Load/Unload and UNIX/Linux tar/cpio/pax. Whether you are a z/OS mainframe system programmer, or a UNIX/Linux shell expert in this session, the speaker will provide the Rosetta Stone to understand the cross-platform equivalent.-John G.
