System z encompasses multiple operating system environments. This session presents equivalencies across z/OS TSO/ISPF and UNIX/Linux Shell environments. We examine basic and intermediate file editing with UNIX/Linux vi/vim and ISPF Edit. Included topics are: ISPF edit profiles vs. the .exrc profile, ISPF line commands vs. vi/vim browse mode commands, ISPF primary commands vs. vi/vim ex mode commands. Whether you are new to z/OS or new to UNIX/Linux, this session provides a Rosetta Stone to understanding cross-platform equivalents.-John G. Kelley-Kelley-Dalton, Incoporated
