System z encompasses multiple operating system environments. This session presents the primary editing tools for the z/OS and UNIX/Linux environments. We examine basic and intermediate file editing with UNIX/Linux vi/vim and ISPF Edit. Included topics are: edit profiles, ISPF line commands and vi browse commands, ISPF primary commands and vi ED commands. Whether you are a z/OS mainframe system programmer, or a UNIX/Linux shell expert in this session, the speaker will provide the Rosetta Stone to understand the cross-platform equivalent.-John G.
