What is DB2 System Profile Monitoring (SPM)? Introduced in DB2 9 for z/OS and extended in DB2 10 for z/OS, SPM provide a variety of exciting capabilities: ZPARMs at a more granular level than the subsystem, modeling the production environment in a test environment, and SQL optimization choices - all available via online changes.
Attendees will hear why and how a customer implemented DB2 Profiles to address a specific problem that affected their DB2 environment. Then attendees will learn how to implement DB2 Profiles to exploit DB2 behavior with controls far more granular than ZPARMs.-Mark Rader-IBM Corporation
