Db2 Tuning: Guilty until Proven Innocent

Organizations who have invested in their z/OS Db2 infrastructure typically have metrics in place to measure their availability and have system level agreements (SLAs) in place for both internal and external customers. On occassion there are infrastructure performance events that will impact application availability and it is urgent to restore availability as quickly as possible. When these events do occur it is easy to prematurely identify Db2 as the root cause of the event. This presentation will show a process/methodology using Db2 Accounting records to quickly identify the problem component so that proper diagnosis can occur to restore availability as quick as possible.-Anthony Ciabattoni-IBM
