Assembler (HLASM) is a powerful language widely used when it comes to applications that require performance and reliability. Many mainframe professionals start learning Assembler but struggle when they face a real-world challenge. If you are one of them this session is for you! You’ll fill the gaps in your knowledge and learn some techniques used to develop professional Assembler programs.
This session will introduce several systems services such as Program Manager, Task Manager and RTM. You’ll also learn about several basic control blocks such as ASCB, TCB, SQEs, TIOT etc., their relationships and how they can be used in assembler programs to meet some special requirements/functions. We will also discuss how to find and read Assembler related manuals in IBM documentation.-Sakthi Nambirajan Pattabi Raman-Broadcom
