DFSMS is the data subsystem for z/OS and comprises a suite of related data and storage management z/OS components that manage the life-cycle of enterprise data and the devices and media associated with that data. This session highlights the latest DFSMS features and functions delivered with z/OS V2.5 and with continuous delivery. Come learn more and ask questions about some of the recent enhancements including security and new data set types for encryption, performance and DFSORT exploitation of the Integrated Accelerator for Z Sort, life cycle management and enhancements to zFS file level backup/restore, and cloud storage and enhancements to OAM Cloud Tier and DSS full volume dump for transparent cloud tiering. Also highlighted are recently delivered customer requirements, specifically those that were SHARE requirements.
