The High Level Assembler for beginners’ session covers the basics of High Level Assembler for z/Architecture. This session will show you how to start programming in assembler by getting you going with a simple 'HELLO WORLD' program written in HLASM.
Using a sample program, we'll introduce you to: • Basic assembler instructions and their formats
• Standard register usage and what the operating system expects from your program
• Basic instructions that you can use to manipulate registers and storage
Throughout the session, we'll refer back to your HLASM Listings (generated by HLASM when your app is assembled) to validate the code written, macros and files referenced.-Sharuff Morsa-IBM Corporation
