HiperSockets, the virtual networks within System z, have been made even more attractive by a bundle of recently released functions. In this session you will learn how HiperSockets technology can automatically adjust to spikes in throughput, even if the device driver is temporarily overstrained. You will hear how you can connect HiperSockets to a physical Ethernet and thus benefit from lowest latency and highest throughput and still get connectivity to your whole network without having to configure multiple network interfaces. We will discuss how System z's new network management interface in zManager can be used to connect HiperSockets to the IEDN and manage the network accesses of your virtual servers.
