A z/OS automated pipeline can be used to build, deploy and maintain z/OS. The
examples shown will be using Ansible and Python, but the concepts could be
applied using other software, even open source software. The z/OS build will
show using the SMP/e target libraries, and non-SMP/e installed libraries, to
build not only z/OS, but CICS, MQ, DB2, IMS, and other z/OS software, including
3rd party. Also, how to do an automated deploy/IPL with verification by running
test cases and IVP jobs. Another example will be how to source version z/OS
customization, including PROCLIB, PARMLIB, ISPF, VTAM, TCPIP and even Usermods.
