IBM announced the LinuxONE servers in August 2015. In February of 2016 IBM replaced the zBC12 based LinuxONE Rockhopper with a z13s based server. This presentation will provide an overview of LinuxONE, what it means to you, and how you can use a LinuxONE server to provide a private Cloud server in your enterprise for hosting a wide variety of services. The use of PR/SM, z/VM, and KVM for IBM z Systems as hypervisors will be discussed, as well as the use of several cloud enabling products including the Cloud Manager Appliance for z/VM, IBM Cloud Orchestrator, SUSE OpenStack, and VMware vRealize.-Jim Elliott-GlassHouse Systems Inc.
