IBM z14 ZR1 and 16U Reserved - a Solution for an All-in-one Computer in a Single Rack

With the introduction of the IBM z14 Model ZR1 and LinuxONE Rockhopper II, there comes the ability to reserve space within the 19” rack to install other components. IBM components or any other vendor components can be installed within the same frame as the IBM Z platform. For example, disks, switches, Power9 or Intel x86 can be installed. In this session, the speaker will explain what is possible, how it’s enabled and what are the effects?
