Come to this session for a detailed technical overview of the IBM zEnterprise BladeCenter Extension (zBX) and an update on new zBX features and functions announced on August 12, 2011, including zBX support for select IBM BladeCenter HX5 7873 blade servers running Linux on System x. This presentation provides valuable planning information for those interested in the unique, new zBX hardware that participates in a workload-optimized, multi-architecture zEnterprise Ensemble with zEnterprise servers. You will be introduced to the zBX components, ordering options, important physical network connectivity options, disk attachment requirements and options, Hardware Management Console requirements, and related documentation references. This session is an updated version of a session given at SHARE in Anaheim.
