Maintaining IMS availability is always a top priority and the capability to makes changes dynamically is an important requirement to achieve this. The capabilities to do dynamic resource definition has evolved over many IMS versions, from using MODBLKS, to Resource Definition Datasets(RDDS), to a repository server. This presentation will discuss the operational aspects and benefits for each configuration. You will also learn ways to control who can change what resources and what attributes, how to enable historical tracking of changes, and capabilities for easy back out of changes with respect to the various IMS resource configurations.-Ron Bisceglia-Rocket Software, Inc.
