This presentation is a high level introduction to the mainframe (IBM Z). It covers in layman's terms: what is a mainframe, who uses mainframes, and why it is a career path to consider. With the absence of IBM in the consumer space, many young people, especially high school and college students are unaware of IBM's role in the enterprise, especially from a mainframe perspective. This presentation will arm attendees with a presentation to use to evangelize the mainframe at local schools, or to use with job candidates to help them understand the importance and role of the mainframe so they can better understand the job opportunity being offered.-Marc I.
