While Cloud has been promoted (hyped) by many marketing organizations, a clear technical definition eludes us. Whether you believe that SaaS is Cloud or you side with Larry Ellison, this session will give you a new, and hopefully better, perspective of what people are talking about and trying to sell you. This session will give an overview of what cloud computing is, why it is important, and where it came from. The speaker will describe the characteristics of a cloud computing offering, the new service models,  and how they are delivered.
