In this session, our speaker will introduce the basic concepts of encryption. He will provide an overview the
cryptography (crypto) related functions that are supported on System z including:
- Data confidentiality
- Data integrity
- Financial/PIN functions
- Key security and integrity.
He will discuss how these functions can satisfy some of the audit standards and legal requirements that are mandatory today and how IBM’s hardware and software provide the infrastructure to meet all of your crypto requirements. He will also review the differences between symmetric and asymmetric encryption and the types of keys that are available.
