What happens when a long-time Z Linux user encounters zCX (z/OS Container Extensions)? Let's find out! This session provides a practical introduction to zCX, and continues with a closer look at experiences with deploying Docker containers as part of a z/OS workload. Information shared will focus on the end user experience of adding zCX to a customer environment, some example applications, challenges encountered, and lessons learned. We'll include a look at basic instrumentation and interfaces, but won't delve into specific details of performance monitoring or event management.
